We have plenty of kimonos for you to take photogenic pictures of! Embark yourself on a time travel to an Edo period city!

The Studio Park is an open set used for shooting period dramas! How about a walk through the Studio Park with a kimono?
  • About 10 to 15 minutes (dressing time)
  • Up to 60 minutes (walking time) * Depending on the costume type and weather, you may not be able to walk in the Studio Park.
  • 2,500 yen (dressing only) * 2,000 yen for optional makeup

How to wear the costumes

Choose your favorite kimono. The staff will help you put on the kimono over the clothes you are wearing.

Important Points

  • There are no kimonos for young children. (Kimonos are available for those who are 150cm tall or taller.)
  • The number of kimonos are limited.
  • The dressing time will take about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • For safety reasons, we will not be able to dress customers, who are unable to walk unaided.
  • Eating, drinking and entering any of the paid attractions is forbidden when wearing the costumes.
  • Depending on the weather or the time of request, customers may not be able to walk in the Studio Park.
  • Please bring your own makeup tools if you wish to retouch your makeup after dressing into your costume.

We offer a range of costumes from historical drama characters to Kyoto-style Maiko and the costume and makeup are tailored to your fit!
Our staff has experience working on Toei movies and TV series.

The 15 to 20-minute Costume Course is recommended for those who want to try this experience without the makeup, or do not have a lot of time!
The 60-minute Full Course is for those who would like to take in the full experience! Which one will you choose?

Important Points

  • Dressing time will take anywhere from 15 mins. to 60 mins.
  • For children’s costumes, this service is limited to children ages 5 and up, who are 110cm tall or taller.
  • For safety reasons, we will not be able to dress customers, who are unable to walk unaided.
  • Eating, drinking and entering any of the paid attractions is forbidden when wearing the costumes.
  • Only those dressed in the Oiran costume are not permitted to walk in the Studio Park.
  • For those wearing the Princess costume (including children) or the Midaidokoro (wife of shogun) costume, you will have to remove the “uchikake” robe before walking in the Studio Park.
  • Depending on the weather or the time of request, customers may not be able to walk in the Studio Park.
  • This service is very busy during holidays. We ask you to please make a reservation as early as possible. (Priority is given to those with a reservation)
  • Please bring your own makeup tools if you wish to retouch your makeup after dressing into your costume.

Information for Exclusive Entrance

For those who wish to only do the costume wearing experience, without the walk through the Studio Park, please enter through the exclusive entrance of the Costume Rental Shop (adjacent to the main entrance of the Studio Park). After you have transformed into another character dressed in your favorite costume, we will take photos of you with your camera in the photo studio inside the rental shop.
  • If you change your mind and decide that you want to walk through the Studio Park, you can purchase your admission ticket inside the shop.
  • If you are taking the JR train, get off at Hanazono Station (13-minute walk) to the main entrance of the Studio Park.
  • From the JR Uzumasa station, you will not be able to enter the Studio Park through the “Satsueiguchi” entrance.

It takes only 5 minutes from changing into your costume until the photos are ready! It’s a quick changing process without having to take off your regular clothes.

The commemorative photo will be produced by using the appropriate backdrop to go with the costume. There are over 30 types of costumes! For women, there are the popular Princess, Maiko and Oiran costumes and for men, there are the Feudal Lord, Shinsengumi (guardsman), Sakamoto Ryoma (samurai), and many more.
Choose your favorite costume. For children, we recommend the Anmitsu-Hime princess, Maiko, Shinsengumi (guardsman), or the Ninja costumes. For children who are 130cm tall or less, we will offer costumes without the hair ornaments, headwear or wigs.

Important Points

  • Printing of extra photos is available only on the day of the shoot.
  • We require about 5 minutes after the shoot to prepare the photos.
  • Since it is not an official costume and makeup service, we do not provide makeup for the shoot.
  • You will not be permitted to walk in the Studio Park after the photo shoot is complete.
  • It is not necessary for you to take off your clothes for this costume wearing experience.
  • The patterns and designs on the costume may be different from the example images.
  • If the costume has green colored patterns, the color and pattern may appear differently in the final photo.
  • For those who are between 100cm to 130cm tall, you will be dressed without a wig. (We do not offer our costume wearing service for children who are shorter than 100cm in height.)
  • Children will be photographed by themselves.

Wear a ninja costume and become a ninja!

We rent original ninja costumes for children. It is perfect for wearing to various attractions, such as the “Ninja Training Dojo Sword n’GO!!” and the “Ninja Mystery House” and for exploring the Studio Park!

Important Points

  • The ninja costumes come as a set with both tops and bottoms. It does not come with tabi footwear, hoods, headgear, and hand and wrist coverings.
  • Since there are a limited number of costumes, we may not be able to provide the color, design, and size you request.
  • Please return costumes by 30 minutes before the closing time of the Studio Park.
  • The deposit fee will be refunded after you have returned the ninja costume. A partial or a full refund will not be issued if the costume is damaged or stained.

How about becoming a samurai warrior in the Studio Park? (reservation only)

Enjoy being a samurai warrior, while wearing the same armor used for filming movie and television dramas. Along with the weight of the armor, you should feel the true burden of a samurai warrior.

Important Points

  • Up to 5 people per group.
  • For the Samurai Warrior experience, it takes about 1 hour from dressing to the end of the experience. The time spent for walking in the Studio Park will be about 30 minutes, taking into account the customer’s walking pace due to the weight of the armor.
  • Depending on your height and weight, you may not be able to wear the desired armor.
  • For children, they must be at least 5 years old and must be at least 110cm tall.
  • For safety reasons, we will not be able to dress customers, who are unable to walk unaided.
  • There are armors that exceed 20 kg in total, so if you have any conditions, such as back pain, neck pain, or knee pain, please select a light-weight armor (Sengoku Samurai Armor).
  • Please be careful of your surroundings when moving around in your armor, as we do not take any responsibility should any damages or injuries occur during your Samurai Warrior costume experience.
  • Please be careful when handling the armor and other related props. Actual expenses, such as repair costs will be required if the armor and props are damaged, stained, or lost.
  • Do not drink alcohol before wearing the armor. If you are drinking alcohol, we will have to dismiss you from the Samurai Warrior experience.
  • Eating, drinking and entering any of the paid attractions is forbidden when wearing the costumes.
  • Depending on the weather or the time of request, customers may not be able to walk in the Studio Park. Thank you for your understanding.
  • If the weather is rainy, you will not be able to go outside, because the armour and helmet are not water resistant.
  • A staff will accompany you when you walk around the Studio Park to protect the armor and oversee the safety of the sword.
  • Because it can be dangerous, drawing the sword will be permitted only when taking the commemorative photos.
  • If you would like to cancel your reservation, please contact us by the day before (during business hours). If you make a cancellation on the day of your reservation, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total price will be charged.
  • Reservation details cannot be changed on the day of your reservation.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the dressing time. (If your reservation is at the same time as when the Studio Park opens, then please enter when the Studio Park opens.) In addition, please be aware that we may not be able admit you, if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, regardless whether you have contacted us or not.
  • For our visitors from abroad, to avoid any problems during your costume wearing experience, please have an interpreter or a tour guide with you who can understand Japanese.
